How I made Megasquirt 2 work with the 2.4l (EDZ) Chrysler engine.
This page will soon contain all the information I have aquired while building, customizing, testing ect the Megasquirt 2 engine managment system (ECU) I will be using in the Duster.
I have compiled a list of mods required for the Megasquirt 2 to use all of the original sensors on the 2.4l (EDZ) engine. See below.
- 2nd Ignition coil circuit
- Boost control circuit
- Launch control circuit
Well, dispite the missing information here, I have a video for you to watch. This is the first succesfull start.
Much of the information need to complete the modifications to the ECU are in various locations on the internet. It's fairy easy to do. The Duster was stripped down and no factory electronics or wiring exists except for the lighting, horn and wipers. Making your own engine bay wire harness really isnt that hard. Just have the right tools and it should take you no more than a day. Thats as far as this project got. Hard to do these kind of things when new houses are in the mix!
